The Manufacturing sector dominated layoff filings with 7,774 workers across 82 notices. Meanwhile, Information & Technology reported 3,202 workers.

Layoff Type Analysis

Closures accounted for 40% of all affected workers nationally, with the majority of events being layoffs rather than full closures.

Largest Layoffs

The biggest impact was at Broadcom and Avago in Irvine, California, reporting 771 affected workers. Beth Abraham Nursing Home followed with 580 workers.
