The Manufacturing sector topped the list of affected industries with 5,631 workers across 77 notices. Notably, Information & Technology reported 2,196 workers.

Layoff Type Analysis

Closures accounted for 25% of all affected workers nationally, with the majority of events being layoffs rather than full closures.

Largest Layoffs

The most significant filing came from University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) in Brownsville, Texas, reporting 1,141 affected workers. US Airways followed with 600 workers.
