The Manufacturing sector emerged as the hardest-hit sector with 4,742 workers across 47 notices. Separately, Finance & Insurance reported 952 workers.

Layoff Type Analysis

Closures accounted for 35% of all affected workers nationally, with the majority of events being layoffs rather than full closures.

Largest Layoffs

Topping the list was TransAlta in Centralia, Washington, reporting 568 affected workers. KeyCorp followed with 420 workers.
